Our Matcha

Where does your matcha come from?

All of our matcha is sourced from a single organic family farm in the hills of Shizuoka, Japan, at the foot of Mt. Fuji. The family behind our matcha has spent more than 20 years perfecting organic production and holds a Japanese patent for their methods.

What makes your matcha ceremonial grade?

Our matcha is made from first-harvest tea leaves that are shade-grown for 20+ days, hand-picked, and stone-milled to a fine 9-micron powder. This process produces a vibrant green color, smooth texture, and naturally sweet, umami-rich flavor with no bitterness.

Is your matcha organic?

Yes. Our matcha is JAS organic, grown on a family farm in Shizuoka, Japan. The farm uses natural, sustainable growing methods that have been refined over two decades.

How should I store my matcha?

Store your matcha in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Once opened, we recommend keeping it sealed and using it within 4-6 weeks for the freshest flavor and color. Refrigeration is fine as long as the container is airtight.

Orders & Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping within the continental US takes 3-5 business days and is free on all orders for a limited time. Expedited options are available at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United States. We are working on expanding to international shipping in the future.

What is your return policy?

We want you to love your matcha. If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us at support@valematcha.com within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

Subscriptions

How do subscriptions work?

Choose your favorite matcha products and select a delivery frequency that works for you. Your order will automatically ship on schedule so you never run out. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime from your account.

Can I modify my subscription?

Yes. You can change products, adjust quantities, update your delivery frequency, or pause your subscription at any time by logging into your account or contacting our support team.

Wholesale

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes. We work with cafes, restaurants, retailers, and other businesses. Visit our Wholesale page to learn about our program and apply for a wholesale account.

What are the minimum order requirements for wholesale?

Minimum order quantities vary by product. Once approved, your dedicated account details will include specific minimums and pricing. Our auto-ship program also includes guaranteed supply and locked pricing for up to 12 months.

Cafe & Locations

Where is your cafe located?

Our flagship cafe is located at 2000 Terry Ave in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, WA. We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.

Do you accept reservations?

We do not accept reservations. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Most drinks are also perfect for grab-and-go.
